Toyota unveils 100-acre North American HQ design in Texas

In Texas, you go big or you go home. But no one is expected to send away Toyota Motor Corp. (NYSE: TM) after it unveiled plans for its over $300 million North American headquarters in Plano, Texas, near Dallas.

The automaker released architectural renderings for its 100-acre campus that will include seven mostly glass buildings – some up to five stories tall – designed for as many as 5,000 employees.  

Plans include dining, fitness and conference facilities, as well as a pharmacy and a large central plaza.

The campus is slated to be completed in the first quarter of 2017.
