Toyota Motor Corp. is scaling back its spending plans in Mexico.
The company announced it will spend $700 million on a new plant in Guanajuato, Mexico, that's currently under construction. Previously, it said it would spend $1 billion.
With the reduction, Toyota will produce half the vehicles per year it planned, at 100,000.
