Toyota recalls 2.9M SUVs over seat belts

Toyota announced Thursday it is recalling nearly 2.9 million sports utility vehicles because of seat belts that might fail in a crash.

The recall includes 1.1 million vehicles in the U.S.

The action overs 2005-14 models of RAV4 SUVs, 2012-14 RAV4 electric vehicles sold in North America and 2005-16 Vanguard models sold in Japan.
