Toyota and Mazda have reportedly picked Alabama for a $1.6 billion, 4,000-job plant.
USA Today cited reports in Reuters and the Birmingham Business Journal that said the companies made the decision about Alabama for the plant.
The pick is said to cap off a race to grab one of the biggest economic development awards in years for the automotive industry.
