Toyota invests $600M in China's Didi

Toyota Motor Corp. announced a new investment of $600 million in Chinese ride-hailing company Didi.

As part of the deal, the two companies will create a joint venture with GAC Toyota Motor to provide vehicle-related services to Didi's drivers.

Toyota also has backed ride-hailing companies Uber and JapanTaxi.
