Toyota is investing in its Troy, Missouri, plant to the tune of $109 million.
The investment is going toward new equipment as the company seeks to boost its inventory of hybrid electric vehicles.
“Toyota customers want vehicles that are fuel-efficient and electrified,” said Norm Bafunno, Toyota senior vice president for unit manufacturing and engineering. “These investments allow us to meet customer needs and quickly respond to an evolving market."
Troy is located in the St. Louis metropolitan statistical area.
