Towering Schlitterbahn water slide delayed yet again

Posted online
Continued testing will take the world’s tallest water slide past its third planned opening date.

The 17-story Verruckt at Schlitterbahn water park in Kansas City, Kan., was most recently scheduled to open to the public yesterday, but crews were continuing to run tests with sand bags to fix glitches, KSHB TV reports. Park officials had not set a new date to debut the slide, which already has been called the world’s tallest by Guinness.

The original date for the opening was first delayed from Memorial Day to early June, which was delayed shortly after, according to KSHB.
