Osamu Nagayama, chairperson of Japanese conglomerate Toshiba, was ousted by investors.
Nagayama was voted out after the company was found to have colluded with the government to support foreign investors' interests, BBC News reports.
Nagayama joined Toshiba's board in mid-2020.
