Top 1% incomes grow by 188%

The richest 1 percent of Americans became 188 percent more wealthy between 1979 and 2013, according to new data released by the Congressional Budget Office.

Comparatively, middle-class and lower-income Americans increased their incomes by 18 percent.

Upper-income Americans increased their incomes by 63 percent.
