Tom Hayden, famed anti-Vietnam War activist, dies

Tom Hayden, a peace activist whose radical views helped spur the 1960s anti-Vietnam War movement, has died.

Hayden died yesterday night in Santa Monica, California, from complications related to a stroke he had about 18 months ago. He was 76.

Hayden also served nearly two decades as a California state lawmaker. He also married and later divorced actress Jane Fonda.
