The leader of the Tokyo Olympics organizing committee stepped down over sexist comments he made about women.
Yoshiro Mori, 83, was quoted saying that women talk too much and meetings with many female board directors would "take a lot of time," according to BBC News.
"What is important is to hold the Olympics from July," he said when announcing his resignation. "It must not be the case that my presence becomes an obstacle to that."
