Tobacco giants in talks to combine

Bloomberg reports Philip Morris and Altria Group Inc. are in talks to combine.

It would mean reuniting, as the companies split their operations more than 10 years ago.

Before speculation of the deal arose, Philip Morris had a market value of nearly $126.4 billion. Altria was worth about $86.7 billion. Stocks in both companies dipped on the merger news.
