TLC Property Realty LLC, the fee management sister company of TLC Property Management LLC, has taken over management of a 396-unit apartment complex on roughly 24 acres in southwest Springfield.
Effective Sept. 26, TLC began managing Lake Shore at Chesterfield Village for a group of investor owners from across the country, according to TLC spokesman Jacob Harvey, who declined to name the investors but said they aren't located in Springfield.
Harvey said TLC has taken the place of Riverstone Residential Group, a Dallas-based third-party management company that managed the property for two years.
"We run the day-to-day management of the property," Harvey said, noting leasing, maintenance, marketing the property for rent, and risk and asset management fall within TLC's duties.
Harvey said TLC is in the process of determining the extent of the damage caused by two separate apartment fires at Lake Shore in June and September.
According to
LakeShoreApartmentHomes.com, the 1- and 2-bedroom apartments range in price from $579 to $759 per month.
The property is the third under management by TLC Property Realty, which also serves as the manager for Northbrooke Apartments and Stoneybrook Village, both in Willard.
TLC Property Realty manages properties with outside ownership, while TLC Property Management is in charge of properties owned by the Coryell family, whose members started the company, Harvey said.
