T.J. Maxx parent company reports earnings beat

TJX Cos., the parent company of T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and Home Goods, topped analysts' expectations for the third quarter.

Earnings per share were $1.28, above expectations of $1.22.

Revenue was reported at $15.1 billion. Analysts were looking for $14.9 billion.
