A Tintin drawing by Belgian artist Georges Remi, aka Herge, broke a record for the most expensive comic book art in history.
The piece sold for $3.1 million at an auction in Paris.
The 1936 work was made for the cover of “The Blue Lotus,” the fifth volume of the adventures of Tintin. However, it was deemed too expensive to reproduce on a mass scale.
