Time Warner revenue jumps 9%

Time Warner, the media company being bought by AT&T, increased quarterly revenue 9.2 percent to $7.2 billion from $6.6 billion a year earlier.

Net income rose to $1.5 billion, or $1.86 per share, from $1 billion, or $1.26 per share, in third-quarter 2017.

Last month, AT&T announced it would buy Time Warner for $85.4 billion.
