Rep. Tim Murphy, R-Pa., yesterday announced he plans to resign from Congress later this month.
The anti-abortion lawmaker has come under fire for an article that revealed text messages he sent to his girlfriend encouarging her to have an abortion.
His resignation came a day after he announced he would retire following the 2018 election.
