Tim Jones sets up committee to investigate Koster

Missouri House Speaker Tim Jones is setting up a committee to investigate Chris Koster's ties to lobbyists following a New York Times article published last month that prominently featured the attorney general.

According to the St. Louis Business Journal, Rep. Jay Barnes, R-Jefferson City, will chair the committee, and will be joined by others including state Rep. Kevin Austin, R-Springfield.

The move follows claims that Koster put a stop to an investigation of 5-Hour Energy after a lobbyist for the company reached out to him.
