Kevin Mayer, the head of Disney’s streaming efforts, is leaving the company to take the CEO post at China's TikTok.
Mayer also will serve as chief operating officer of TikTok’s parent company ByteDance.
At Disney, Mayer led the development of streaming service Disney Plus, which hit 50 million subscribers in April.
