TikTok has completed the deal to spin off its U.S. operations in order to keep operating in the country.
The new U.S. joint venture includes 15% stakes owned by Oracle, UAE-based MGX and tech investment firm Silver Lake. ByteDance, the company's Chinese parent company, retains a 19.9% stake in the venture.
"I am so happy to have helped in saving TikTok! It will now be owned by a group of Great American Patriots and Investors," President Donald Trump said on social media.
