Two new stores and a restaurant are entering the Springfield market via Simon Property Group's (NYSE: SPG) Battlefield Mall.
Retailer Gearhead Outfitters and The Rim restaurant are scheduled to open this summer, followed by Ooh La La salon in the fall, according to a news release.
Gearhead Outfitters, a Jonesboro, Ark.-based seller of outdoor wear, is slated to launch across from Victoria’s Secret near the JCPenny department store. It will take over 3,364 square feet, replacing the recently relocated On The Ball Sports.
The Rim, which currently operates in Claremont, Calif., and Kansas City, serves pad thai and Korean barbecue, as well as sandwiches and smoothies. It will be located next to Chick-fil-A in the Battlefield Mall food court, according to the release. It will occupy a 945-square-foot vacant space.
Ooh La La, a Wilmette, Ill., salon chain, plans to open next door to American Eagle near Dillard’s. Known for its blow-dry bar, the store offers hair styling and weaving, as well as spray tanning and cosmetic services. It will move in to space being vacated by the relocating Handbags & More.
The tenants join the newly opened Perfume Gallery near the food court, as well as more than 150 other stores at Battlefield Mall.
