Three Missouri banks make Forbes' best list

Three Missouri-based bank companies were recognized on the top 25 Forbes list of best banks.

Commerce Bancshares ranked 10th, UMB Financial ranked 16th and Central Bancompany ranked 18th.

Last year, Commerce ranked ninth, UMB came in at 21st and Central was 23rd, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

The banks are ranked on a number of qualities, incuduling total assets in billions, return on average equity and total loans.
