Three Mile Island nuclear plant to reopen in Microsoft deal

Pennsylvania’s dormant Three Mile Island nuclear plant, known as the site of the worst nuclear accident in U.S. history, is reopening.

Plant owner Constellation Energy has reached a deal with Microsoft in which the tech company would buy all of the plant's power for 20 years. The power would reportedly feed Microsoft's artificial intelligence needs.

The deal calls for the power plant to be back online by 2028.
