Three companies seek combined 81 employees

The Missouri Job Center and Ozark Region Workforce Development Board are working with three Springfield-based employers this week to find a combined 81 new workers.

Rapid Robert’s Inc. has the largest need, according to job numbers provided by Springfield Department of Workforce Development spokeswoman Megan Short.

The regional convenience store chain is holding a June 8 hiring event at the job center, 2900 E. Sunshine St., in hopes of hiring 43 employees. Rapid Robert’s seeks 30 sales associates, 10 assistant managers and three managers in training at the company’s stores in Springfield, Ozark, Nixa, Republic and Battlefield, according to a news release.

The Thursday event is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

That same day, Gold Mountain Communications LLC will host a hiring event at its 1701 W. Sunshine St. headquarters.

During the 10 a.m.-2 p.m. event, Gold Mountain will seek 20 sales agents who, according to the release, are paid an average of $21 per hour.

Tomorrow 9 a.m.-noon, Reliable Chevrolet will interview for 18 employees at the Sunshine Street job center. The positions comprise 10 sales consultants, three tire and lube technicians, two general workers, one collision technician, one auto painter and one painter’s helper, according to Short.

The job center and workforce board aid employers in Greene, Christian, Dallas, Polk, Stone, Taney and Webster counties.
