Thousands of people were evacuated on Mexico’s Pacific coast as Hurricane Willa descended on the country.
Buildings also were boarded up as the hurricane threated tourist resorts with high winds and heavy rains Tuesday.
Hurricane Willa is expected to hit a few miles south of Mazatlan, a popular coastal city in the state of Sinaloa.
