Thomas Cook, a 178-year-old tour operator, has collapsed after last-minute negotiations to save the company failed.
The firm now enters compulsory liquidation, which could put 22,000 jobs worldwide at risk.
Some 16,000 people on holiday had been booked through Thomas Cook to come back on Monday.
