KY3 reports a third person has died in the recent Springfield overdose spike.
A woman in her 30s died, following the deaths of two men in their 20s. The overdose count has reached 40.
Authorities blame bad drug mixtures that include fentanyl. The Springfield Police Department is working with the Greene County Sheriff's Office and the Drug Enforcement Agency on the overdose increase.
