The Wall Street Journal reports Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. will acquire Brammar Bio for $1.7 billion.
Thermo, a lab equipment company, expects to grow its presence in gene therapy with the purchase.
Brammar Bio was formed through the 2016 merger of Brammer Biopharmaceuticals and Florida Biologix.
