Theresa May outlines clean break for UK in 'Brexit' speech

British Prime Minister Theresa May made in clear in a major speech Tuesday that the country intends to make a clean break from the European Union.

She laid out the broad objectives of the British withdrawal, often referred to as Brexit, but did not get into the details.

“The United Kingdom is leaving the European Union, and my job is to get the right deal for Britain as we do,” she said.

May said she hopes to have a final deal in place with the European Union by March 2019.
