Theranos cutting hundreds of jobs as it shutters labs

Embattled blood-testing firm Theranos is downsizing.

The company plans to close its clinical labs and Theranos Wellness Centers, a move that would affect 340 employees in Arizona, California and Pennsylvania. This summer, the company employed 700-900 people.

The startup is under investigation by multiple federal agencies after doubts emerged about its methods.
