The world’s largest cruise ship has set sail

The world’s largest cruise ship has set sail on a trial run before its planned debut this spring.

At 361 meters long, the $1.1 billion Harmony of the Seas operated by Royal Caribbean primarily will serve the Caribbean and Mediterranean seas, according to Fortune.

The ship took three years to build and has a capacity of 5,497. It is one of two vessels that Royal Caribbean, the second-largest cruise operator, will launch this year.

Citing a Cruise Market Watch study, Fortune reports industry revenue rose by 6.9 percent to a total of $39.6 billion in 2015.
