'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' author dies at 91

Eric Carle, the artist and author behind “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” has died. He was 91.

Carle’s best-known children's book was first published in 1969, and it since has been translated into more than 70 languages.

During his career, Carle published around 70 books that together sold over 170 million copies.
