The unexpected threat to Super Bowl XLIX

If domestic abuse by its players against their spouses and children isn't enough to turn fans away from NFL football games, is there anything powerful enough that can? Apparently so, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.
 
Congress.
 
Or, more specifically, congressional inaction and infighting, the same detractors that have derailed progress on many fronts over the past few years. The threat to the next Super Bowl is the lapse of the TRIA - the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act - set to expire Dec. 31. Without it, insurers are likely to cancel terrorism insurance policies on Jan. 1. Don't think it will go that far? It very well could - just ask FIFA.
