The spider-infested Mazdas are back

If Alfred Hitchcock were still around, he’d be kicking himself for not thinking of this first: Spiders infesting cars, causing them to explode.
 
Bloomberg Businessweek reports Mazda is recalling 42,000 Mazda 6 sedans, built between 2009 and 2011, because yellow sac spiders can infest and block the cars’ fuel lines. This can lead to gas leaks and fires, according to the report.
 
This is the second time Mazda has had to recall cars because of infestations of the yellow sac spider; the first recall was in 2011 but that fix wasn’t sufficient to keep the spiders out of the fuel lines.
