The 'short suit' is finally going mainstream

That's right, the short suit.

The outfit resembles a typical suit from the waist up, but rather than trousers, the bottoms are cropped at the knee.

Business Insider reports J. Crew, Topman, Asos and Barneys are among the retailers selling the short suit this season. They may be taking cues from fashion icon Pharrell Williams, who donned tuxedo shorts to the Academy Awards earlier this year.

The short suits typically cost about $400.
