Project description: This 28,700-square-foot facility located adjacent to The Salvation Army Springfield headquarters on Chestnut Expressway is intended to accommodate a new men’s shelter and food pantry. Sleeping rooms, a large dining room and kitchen, classrooms and offices will be located within, according to project officials. Exterior materials were selected to complement the other buildings on the campus.
