Satirical news company The Onion has purchased Infowars and other assets that had been owned by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
Funds generated from the bankruptcy sale are intended to go toward families of victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that Jones defamed.
