The Obamas paid $93,362 in federal income taxes

President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama reported $495,964 in gross income last year, according to their 2014 tax returns released by the White House on Friday afternoon.

The bulk came from the president's nearly $395,000 salary. They also made $88,181 from business interests in Random House and literary management company Dystel & Goderich, according to CNNMoney.

In all, the Obamas paid $93,362 in federal income taxes.
