The most retweeted tweet is no longer about chicken nuggets

A cash giveaway become more popular on the internet than chicken nuggets.

Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa, founder and CEO of Zozotown and the man who will go to the moon with Elon Musk in 2023, tweeted a pledge to give $920,000 in cash to 100 people if they retweeted his post.

The tweet passed 4 million retweets to overtake the previous record held by a Nevada teenager in 2017. His post gained 3.8 million retweets after asking Wendy's to give him free chicken nuggets for a year contingent on 18 million retweets.
