Disney's “The Little Mermaid” scored $117.5 million at the U.S. box office over the weekend.
The film had the fifth-best opening for Memorial Day weekend in history, according to Box Office Mojo.
"The Little Mermaid" brought in $185.8 million when counting international ticket sales.
