A2S04 Architects of Indianapolis designed the 39,000-square-foot facility, said Duane Prewitt, Killian’s senior vice president of preconstruction. Engineers are TLF Consulting Engineers of Indianapolis, structural; and Springfield firms Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and Global Link Land Surveying & Engineering Inc., civil.
“We are currently finishing approximately 26,000 square feet. The rest will be warehouse,” Prewitt said.
Empire Bank provided the financing for the project, which has an estimated cost of $2 million, according to the building permit on file with the city of Springfield.
Killian Construction is one of several companies under the umbrella of Killian Group. Others include KCC Contractors and Midwest Building Co. in Springfield, Killian Eastern in Indianapolis and Killian Western in Glendale, Ariz.
