The Caspian changes hands, keeps its focus on Mediterranean cuisine

After two years in the Springfield restaurant business, Frank Abutalebi has sold The Caspian Mediterranean Cafe, 3014 S. National, to Chef Dave Richardson. The business was set to change hands Oct. 15, with Richardson taking over management Nov. 1.

Abutalebi said making customers happy is what has made the restaurant successful since it opened. He also credits a hardworking staff, as well as helpful suppliers, such as Farmer Bros. Coffee
