‘The Buffalo, Ben, and Me’

Parnell began writing the story after a 1995 trip on the Buffalo River with his son, Ben, a 2003 Drury graduate. Published by the University of Missouri Press, the book focuses on the relationship between father and son, and the challenges they face while in nature.

“It brought home what is truly important to me in the grand scheme of life, the simplicity and power of being grounded in nature, and the bonding of personal relations through it,” Todd Parnell said.
