‘The Buffalo, Ben, and Me’

Posted online
Todd Parnell, Drury University interim president and sixth-generation Ozarker, will hold a reading and book signing for his third book, “The Buffalo, Ben, and Me.” The event takes place at 4 p.m. on Nov. 6 in the Harwood Reading Room of Olin Library on the Drury campus.

Parnell began writing the story after a 1995 trip on the Buffalo River with his son, Ben, a 2003 Drury graduate. Published by the University of Missouri Press, the book focuses on the relationship between father and son, and the challenges they face while in nature.

“It brought home what is truly important to me in the grand scheme of life, the simplicity and power of being grounded in nature, and the bonding of personal relations through it,” Todd Parnell said.[[In-content Ad]]
