'The Big Bang Theory' actors to make $25K an hour

Who wouldn't want a 233 percent raise?

That's what the actors who portray nerds Sheldon Cooper, Leonard Hofstadter and fiancee Penny got for the upcoming season of the CBS hit series "The Big Bang Theory."

Previously pulling in $300,000 an episode, the trio will now make a cool million, vaulting the comedians into "Friends" territory.

At 24 episodes a season, the nerds turned A-list stand to make a sizable profit.

CNN reports fellow actors in the show also received substantial pay bumps, but didn't hit the $1 million mark. Supporting actresses who play on-screen girlfriends only make about $60,000 an episode.

CNN broke down the colossal numbers into more equatable sums. If the main three "The Big Bang Theory" actors work roughly 40 hours a week, that would translate to $25,000 an hour. The median wage for fast-food workers is $8.81 an hour. Retail sales associates and janitors make around $10 an hour.
