The purchase will add eight northeast Oklahoma counties to The Beer Co.’s distribution area. It also will increase the company’s yearly distribution of nearly 3.5 million cases by about 500,000 cases, according to Jim Ferguson, president of the company’s eastern region.
Ferguson would not disclose a purchase price.
The Beer Co. is a distributor for Coors Brewing Co., Miller Brewing Co., Crown Imports, Heineken USA, Diageo and Pabst Brewing Co. The purchase includes brand rights to beers produced by Miller, Coors, Heineken USA/Femsa, Diageo and Pabst.
The Beer Co. will do business in Oklahoma as Grand Lake Beverage LLC. Company offices will be located in Miami. All 12 employees with the two Oklahoma companies will stay on, Ferguson said.
The Beer Co. is based in Springfield and Joplin and has been in operation since 1978.[[In-content Ad]]
