The Bank has announced it is introducing a new, expanded mortgage department that will enable it to provide customers with an array of loan options for new home construction and existing homes, according to a release from The Bank.
Mortgage options offered now include conventional fixed and variable rate, Veterans Administration and Federal Housing Administration loans, and home equity loans.
Aaron Jernigan, formerly of First Horizon Home Loans, joined The Bank's mortgage department as vice president/department manager. A graduate of SMSU with a bachelor's degree in Finance, Jernigan has closed more than $20 million a year in home loans since 1998.
Denise Feldt, a banking and lending professional since 1985, is assistant vice president. Formerly of First Horizon Home Loans, Feldt said, "I began my career with a locally owned, hometown bank. I am excited to be back in that kind of environment where the customers know they are more than an account number."
Feldt was formerly a director of the local chapter of the Association of Professional Mortgage Women.
Kevin Dull, vice president in The Bank's mortgage lending department since 1998, has been a mortgage lender in Springfield since 1982. He is a graduate of SMSU.
Rounding out the new mortgage team are Kathryn McCall and Rachelle Wire, mortgage specialists. McCall has worked in mortgage loan processing since 1993, most recently with First Horizon Home Loans. Wire has worked in mortgage loan processing and escrow closing since 1993.
Founded in July 1997, The Bank is a local financial institution owned by area citizens and business owners. It has two locations in Springfield on East Battlefield and on South Fremont with a third location slated to open in early 2001 at Sunset and Campbell.
