Thanksgiving, Black Friday sales estimated at $12.3B

Thanksgiving and Black Friday combined brought in an estimated $12.3 billion in sales, according to shopping analytics firm ShopperTrak.

Overall spending was expected to reach $57.4 billion for the weekend, according to the National Retail Federation.

USA Today reports online retailers continued to gain ground, with an estimated 92 million people shopping on Black Friday, up from 89 million last year.
