Texas County Sheriff James Sigman has resigned 18 months after being charged with multiple felonies.
Sigman, who pleaded not guilty to charges including felony assault and endangering the welfare of a child, claims he was wrongly removed from office by interim Sheriff Rowdy Douglas.
Sigman formally resigned as sheriff at a recent hearing on whether he should be removed from his position.
