Tesla's market cap closing in on Ford's

Tesla's market value could overtake that of 114-year-old Ford.

Tesla was worth $44.6 billion at the start of trading today. Ford was at $49.9 billion.

That means Tesla needs only to gain 12 percent to catch Ford at its current valuation.
