Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk said the company was near death earlier this year.
“Essentially, the company was bleeding money like crazy, and if we didn’t solve these problems in a very short period of time, we would die. And it was extremely difficult to solve them,” Musk said in an interview that aired yesterday on "Axios on HBO."
He said the company was "within single-digit weeks” of dying as it sought to ramp up production of electric vehicles.
